This is a curious group, for it is a mixture of fruit and vegetables which people typically group under the heading "salads". Since the fruit and vegetables in these groups themselves have such a varied history and nature, it would be a little much to try and generalise them in here. Suffice to say, there are many that could be included in here but aren't; crops such as beetroot, onions and radishes to name but a few. Unfortunately since there are so many different naming methods and groups out there, it's just not that simple!
